This is a big release! We've changed a bunch of tooling on our side, added new features and fixed some pesky bugs. Incorporated updates for GDPR compliance. MicrosoftAccount username@domain is now accepted as a valid username. Clipboard sharing has been rewritten to be faster and support more formats.

Copy and pasting text, images or files between sessions now bypasses the local machine’s clipboard. You can now connect via an RD Gateway server with an untrusted certificate (if you accept the warning prompts). Metal hardware acceleration is now used (where supported) to speed up rendering and optimize battery usage.

When using Metal hardware acceleration we try to work some magic to make the session graphics appear sharper. Got rid of some instances where windows would hang around after being closed. Fixed bugs that were preventing the launch of RemoteApp programs in some scenarios. Fixed an RD Gateway channel synchronization error that was resulting in 0x204 errors. The mouse cursor shape now updates correctly when moving out of a session or RemoteApp window. Fixed a folder redirection bug that was causing data loss when copy and pasting folders.

Fixed a folder redirection issue that caused incorrect reporting of folder sizes. Fixed a regression that was preventing logging into an AAD-joined machine using a local account.

Fixed bugs that were causing the session window contents to be clipped. Added support for RD endpoint certificates that contain elliptic-curve asymmetric keys.

Fixed a bug that was preventing the download of managed resources in some scenarios. Addressed a clipping issue with the pinned connection center. Fixed the checkboxes in the Display property sheet to work better together. Aspect ratio locking is now disabled when dynamic display change is in effect. Addressed compatibility issues with F5 infrastructure. Updated handling of blank passwords to ensure the correct messages are shown at connect-time.

Fixed mouse scrolling compatibility issues with MapInfra Pro. Fixed some alignment issues in the Connection Center when running on Mojave. If you encounter any errors, you can always contact us via Help Report an Issue.

Pressing ENTER from the 'Adding Remote Resources' sheet now starts feed discovery. Fixed an issue where a new remote resource feed would show up empty in the Connection Center until refresh. The correct error message is now displayed when a gateway server could not be found. The Quit shortcut (CMD + Q) is now consistently shown in the UI. Improved the image quality when scaling in 'fit to window' mode.

Updated the default icon for desktop tiles. Please keep the feedback coming. If you encounter any errors, you can contact us via Help Report an Issue. 10.1.5 Feb 27, 2018.

Improved reliability when connecting through an RD Gateway. The RD Gateway port number can now be specified as part of the gateway name. Connecting via an RDP file no longer creates a bookmark in the Connection Center. Quicken backup now works over redirected folders.

Wildcard specifiers now work against redirected folders. If you encounter any errors, you can contact us via Help Report an Issue. 10.1.2 Jan 4, 2018. We’ve made a small tweak and fixed the settings migration feature (Connections Import from MS Remote Desktop 8) to detect the data from version 8.0.43 of MS Remote Desktop 8 (versus detecting if the app is installed). When I hit view connection center in full view, I get locked into the remote session and have to quit (Cmd-Q) the app to get back to the Mac desktop. Also when I first launched the app, all of my connections were missing. I assumed I would have to rebuild them like the transition from MS Office 2011 Remote Desktop to Remote Desktop 8. I was surprised when I found the import option under the connections menu. The only improvement I would make is to ask on first launch if you want to import from Remote Desktop 8. If you are using Remote Desktop 8, I recommend this upgrade. Update 1: The glitch I describe only happens if you pin the Connection Window to the Menu Bar.

If it is not pinned it works just like Remote Desktop 8.0 and allows you to get back to the Mac Desktop without quiting. I like the Pinned menu, but until this is fixed, I need to leave it unpinned. Developer Response Please mail us at rdios@microsoft.com as we would like to better understand the pinning issue that you are hitting (so we can fix it if its a bug). Wad11656 Fantastic, fast, and smooth from my small use Had no qualms with the “square logo” version. I used it often, using both Active Directory logins and local logins.

Did mass software installs on multiple machines simultaneously all remotely from the app. This one I feel like runs even faster and smoother than the last one!

Great job, devs. Arrays dev c download for mac. I also can see on here that the devs are responding to many of the (often unbelievably whiny and uppity) complaints on this review page, often proving the customer wrong or letting them know that their desired feature is forthcoming.

Thank you for your dedication, dev team. I feel these guys deserve a 5-star review.

The average rating for this app largely seems to be due to customers’ ineptitude or ignorance, so the rating really isn’t fair or telling of the quality of the app. Wad11656 Fantastic, fast, and smooth from my small use Had no qualms with the “square logo” version. We have found Version 10 much harder to setup on users desktops because unlike the prior version where most of the information was in one place - now its spread around via access to dropdowns and in various locations.

When we first started using this we had cursor disappearance and mysterious disconnects - and couldnt seem to get support It seems that they have been working hard to bring this up to speed and improve support. We started retesting and found the most current release to be much more stable - just dont try to open a full session screen on a 5K iMac in High Sierra yet. Developer Response We have the v.10 app in the Store so you can use it and iron out these issues. Please contact us so we can work with you to resolve problems before the v.8 app is pulled from the Store. You can mail us at rdios@microsoft.com. There is also a Slack MacAdmins group you can join to work with us 1:1 to get up and running.

Frankd15 Several features broken in recent update The most recent update seemed to disrupt the functioning of several features. 1) Picking locations in an entry is broken. 2) Cannot add weather data 3) In the main window, all entries are only partially displayed. I hope this is fixed soon!

Rhythm Tree Abysmal Customer Service I have tried for 2 weeks to reach customer service and no one will email me back. Due to technical limitations of not being able to share my journal with a business coach, I was asking for a refund, but as soon I asked for a refund, this company became totally unresponsive to my efforts to reach them. Very disappointed. I saw your reply to this review and you are wrong. Your support response which was dated Feb 5, not Feb 6, said, “Hi Ryan, Thanks for the reply.

I then followed up on Feb 8 via email, and then again on Feb 11 via email and then i also tried reaching you through your Facebook page. Finally, after giving you many chances to provide me with a response, I left a negative review becasue of the terrible customer service.

If you are that rigid in your refund policy, then something seems wrong to me about how you treat your customers and your business. Developer Response Hi, your request for refund was not approved. Our reply was within two working days. Please check the email dated 6 Feb 2018.

Laguna Backpacker Decent app, poor customer service The app itself is a very basic journaling app, and it performs that task reasonably well. However, customer support is virtually non-existent.

I had two questions about the app, which I forwarded to the developer. I received the usual automated acknowledgement of my request, and then a generic response that had nothing to do with my questions. On another note, the app is styled in an aqua blue color that I don’t care for, and there is no way to change it. I suppose it’s okay if you like aqua blue and never need support, but I’m not terribly impressed with the app. I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends. Developer Response Hi Laguna Backpacker, we are sorry to hear this.

Can you send a message to our main email contact@2appstudio.com and forward us the previously sent email? We expect our customer service representatives to be of the highest standard. We take this matter very seriously and we will be looking into it.
